CEBRA

As part of the CEBRA initiative, eco has been imparting up-to-date and directly applicable e-business knowledge for over 15 years. During this time, eco has been able to certify over 3,000 participants with a “Counselor for E-Business Related Assignments” certificate. In cooperation with the Ennepetal Vocational College, accreditation, participant management, examination organisation and certification were handled. In addition to Matthias Kurzhals, Head of School Development at the Ennepetal Vocational College, a student assistant supported the administrative processes and the maintenance, as well as further development of the learning platform and learning content.

The offer, which has now expired, was specifically aimed at vocational schools or comparable educational institutions that wanted to provide their students or participants with an up-to-date learning programme in the field of e-business. It was also aimed at companies seeking further training for their employees working in e-business-related areas. CEBRA’s action-oriented learning modules took place in the cloud via the eco German CEBRA Moodle server.

Certified e-business knowledge – practical and flexible

Based on a case study approach, the qualification programme offered practical content and focuses on teaching competence-oriented strategies for solving real e-business problems. After familiarising themselves with the multi-layered content, participants demonstrated their progress in regular online tests and a final examination. After successfully passing the exam, all participants received a certificate issued by eco, which certifies their extensive knowledge and skills in the field of e-business.

In 2024, the last CEBRA courses came to an end and were again mostly conducted in a blended learning scenario (i.e., a balanced mix of online and face-to-face learning). Approximately 150 students were certified in 2024, and a special highlight this year was once again the certificate award ceremony at the Erich Gutenberg Vocational College in Cologne. In individual presentations based on the specialist knowledge they had acquired in CEBRA, the graduates of the higher vocational school classes demonstrated that the content of our programme enables them to develop digital business ideas, outline business plans and even create functional online shops.

All participants can look back on an intensive learning experience – teachers and students alike expressed gratitude (not only) at the final certificate award ceremonies for the learning opportunities that eco made accessible over such a long period of time.
