IT Security

Digitalisation is the driving force and foundation for the well-being of our modern, global information and knowledge society. It opens up enormous growth opportunities across all industries and company sizes and leads to ever-improving processes that increase efficiency and reduce costs. The digitalisation process is accelerating at all levels, and IT is contributing an ever-greater share of the value added in all products and solutions. The economic strength and prosperity of our modern society, and its ability to perform, are therefore determined in particular by the success of the digital transformation.

We must also recognise that cybersecurity problems have been escalating annually year after year since the advent of IT. It’s crucial to realise that today’s IT architectures for our devices, servers, network components, and central IT services are not designed and built with sufficient security to successfully counter attacks from sophisticated hackers. The multitude of local and central applications, the different ways of accessing the Internet, the vast number of IT systems, the diverse interconnections, etc. are making IT increasingly complex and therefore more vulnerable to malicious attacks.

At eco, we strive to contribute to a secure and trustworthy digital future through Competence Groups, initiatives and the Internet Security Days.
